Project description: A new early childhood facility for the Ava R-1 School District is nearing completion. Project officials say it includes a tornado shelter that doubles as a cafeteria and multipurpose room with additional classrooms, office and administration room, occupational and physical therapy area and a new pickup and drop-off area. The project includes remodeling the middle school entry with a secure entrance and updated offices. Architect is Jack Ball & Associates Architects PC. Engineers are Pinnacle Design Consultants LLC, civil; Toth and Associates Inc., structural; and The LaRose Group LLC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
