AutoZone Inc.'s shares rose 3 percent in premarket trading this morning after the company reported better-than-expected quarterly results.
The auto parts retailer reported earnings of $366.7 million, or $13.42 a share, up from $331.7 million, or $11.44 a share, a year earlier. Sales rose to $2.66 billion from $2.62 billion.
Analysts expected earnings per share of $12.90 on sales of $2.71 billion.
