Auto detailers announce business transition

As one automotive detailer switches careers, another is taking over his company's book of business.

Belk Detailing LLC, which also does business as Belk Mobile Detailing, has taken over Status Auto Detailing's book of business, effective Dec. 2, according to a video announcement from the Springfield-based companies. Financial terms were not disclosed. 

Belk Detailing co-owner Josh Belk and Status Auto Detailing owner Jeremy Hargett jointly announced the transition.

"Starting today, we're going to be taking over Jeremy's book of business, and we're now going to be offering paint protection film and wheels-off ceramic coating and detailing," Belk said in the video. "We're super honored just to be taking care of all of Jeremy's old customers and excited to be able to introduce these new services to all of our customers that have trusted us over the years."

Hargett said he would help transition the business over the next several months as he switches careers.

"I've been around like 15, 16 years. Long story short, I'm out. I'm going to go be a paramedic. I love it, I'm looking forward to it," he said. "But I wanted to find somebody that I could hand off my clients to that I trust."

Founded in 2019, Belk Detailing offers interior and exterior detailing, ceramic coatings, paint correction and window tinting services, according to its website. The company provides mobile services in the greater Springfield area.
