Australia PM apologizes for holiday trip amid worsening fires

Amid worsening fires in his home country, Australia Prime Minister Scott Morrison apologized for going on holiday in Hawaii.

"I deeply regret any offense caused to any of the many Australians affected by the terrible bushfires by my taking leave with family at this time," he said on Friday.

Two volunteer firefighters died Thursday fighting a blaze near Sydney. A civilian died Friday in South Australia.
