The city of Columbia has received a clean audit report through external auditor Allen, Gibbs & Houlik LC.
The city reportedly received the best grade possible for its financial management during the fiscal year that ran from Oct. 1, 2023, to Sept. 30, 2024.
Among the audit findings, the city decreased its net pension liability by $26.6 million and increased revenue by nearly $43 million during fiscal 2024.
