Audi cuts thousands of jobs

Audi announced plans to slash 9,500 jobs by 2025.

Simultaneously, the company intends to add 2,000 jobs focusing on electric vehicles and other new technology.

Officials with the Volkswagen-owned premium car brand said the layoffs would be conducted via turnover and retirement.
