AT&T Inc.'s third-quarter net income and revenue fell short of analysts' expectations.
Earnings were $3.03 billion, or 49 cents per share. Adjusted for amortization costs and costs related to mergers and acquisitions, earnings were 74 cents per share, a cent less than forecasted.
Revenue was $39.7 billion, short of the $40.3 billion market analysts were looking for.
