AT&T sued for allegedly inflating DirecTV numbers

AT&T has been sued for allegedly inflating subscriber numbers for AT&T TV Now, which previously was known as DirecTV Now.

The suit, which seeks class-action status, alleges AT&T directed employees to add DirecTV Now subscription fees to subscribers' accounts without their knowledge or consent.

AT&T announced plans "to fight these baseless claims in court."
