AT&T reaches $6M settlement with SEC

AT&T Inc. agreed to pay a roughly $6.3 million penalty to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

The penalty settles SEC accusations that the company selectively leaked financial information to Wall Street analysts.

"We are committed to following all applicable laws and pleased to have resolution with the SEC. With this settlement, the company and its employees neither admitted nor denied the SEC’s allegations," AT&T officials said.
