The offer brings the idea of AT&T’s FamilyTalk plans to small businesses, allowing them to share monthly anytime minutes among their employees. The new BusinessTalk plans start at $60 per month for five users and 700 anytime minutes, and they go up to 40 users and 20,000 anytime minutes.
“Smaller companies are inherently mobile and rely heavily on wireless technologies to stay connected to their customers and run their businesses,” said Kent Mathy, president of small business in AT&T’s wireless unit, in a news release.
Small businesses can choose a plan with unlimited Mobile to Mobile or Push To Talk features.
AT&T estimates some companies could save nearly 20 percent of their monthly service charges by using BusinessTalk instead of AT&T’s standard voice pool plans, according to the release.
In addition, AT&T’s Exclusively Business small business program, launched last year, waives activation fees for new lines of service for its members and offers an 8 percent discount on monthly service charges for qualified voice and data service plans, including the primary line on BusinessTalk.
