AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) is removing advertising from YouTube amid concerns of child exploitation on the platform.
“Until Google can protect our brand from offensive content of any kind, we are removing all advertising from YouTube,” company officials said in an emailed statement to the Dallas Business Journal.
Nestle and Epic Games are among other high-profile companies to pull ads from YouTube over the controversy.
The video streaming service has come under fire after blogger Matt Watson made a video showing how pedophiles were using the platform to trade information and draw attention to clips of young girls.
