AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) announced plans to hire about 60 employees in Springfield.
The positions are U-verse salespeople at AT&T’s downtown call center, 600 St. Louis St., according to a news release.
In Missouri, AT&T is hiring some 225 employees, adding to the 800 employees the company has hired across Missouri this year. The company employs nearly 10,000 in the Show-Me State, said spokeswoman Katie Nagus. She declined to provide Springfield numbers, saying the company only gives out employment figures on a state level.
In Springfield, AT&T has hired 115 people so far this year.
AT&T is seeking full-time employees who would receive 14 weeks of paid training and on-the-job support, according to the release.
