AT&T is in talks to buy DirecTV for at least $50 billion, and the two sides are said to be actively working toward an announcement, according to a New York Times report.
The deal would give AT&T, the country's second-largest wireless carrier, control over the largest satellitle TV provider in the U.S.
The two companies are reportedly negotiating, and the terms of a deal are not expected to be released in the next two weeks.
