AT&T cited a process error for the widespread outage that left myriad customers without service for hours on Thursday.
AT&T officials said the outage "was caused by the application and execution of an incorrect process used as we were expanding our network, not a cyberattack."
AT&T reported service had been restored to all customers on Thursday afternoon.
