At least 26 killed in Brussels attacks

At least 26 people were killed in Brussels, Belgium, Tuesday in explosions that hit the city's airport and a downtown metro stop.

"We were fearing terrorist attacks, and that has now happened," Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel said.

Federal officials have found the airport explosion was caused by a suicide attack.

The metro station explosion was near buildings that house European Union institutions in central Brussels.

Over 100 others were wounded, and the country has shut down all public transportation.
