Assemblies of God Credit Union hires Sen. Dixon

Assemblies of God Credit Union hired state Sen. Bob Dixon, R-Springfield, as a mortgage officer.

“Bob brings a wealth of knowledge and customer service experience that will complement our mortgage department well,” AGCU President and CEO Paul Ebisch said in a news release. “It is an honor to have this committed public servant on our staff.”

The credit union's mortgage department experienced roughly 98 percent loan growth in 2012, to $31.1 million from $15.7 million in 2011. During the first five months of 2013, AGCU mortgage loan closings exceeded $26 million, and in the past 18 months, the mortgage department has expanded to nine employees from three, according to the credit union.

“Affordable housing and responsible lending practices are cornerstones of our economy,” Dixon said in the release. "I am happy to align my professional goals with the experienced, financial professionals at AGCU."

Dixon, who has 20 years experience in banking and financial services, was elected to the Missouri Senate in 2010. He served four terms in the House 2003-2010, according to Senate.Mo.gov.[[In-content Ad]]
