The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers, or ASHRAE, is the global leader in the arts and sciences of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration. Members belong to chapters worldwide in North and South America, Europe, Asia and Australia.|ret||ret||tab|
The mission of ASHRAE is to serve the evolving needs the public and members with response to current and emerging heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigerating issues. ASHRAE sponsors research projects at universities across the country and around the world. Publications include research reports, standards, and guides on subjects including refrigerants and refrigerant safety environmental issues, and indoor air quality, in addition to technical application of machinery and equipment. ASHRAE reviews industry topics ranging from basics to emerging technology; covering the entire spectrum of professional interest from system design and construction to start-up and service life of environmental systems.|ret||ret||tab|
The local chapter, ASHRAE/Ozarks, has a membership of nearly 50 men and women and is assigned to Region IX, which includes chapters throughout the central United States. |ret||ret||tab|
The chapter was honored to have our immediate past-president, Steve Colvin of Malone Finkle Eckhardt & Collins, recognized as Region IX Chapter President of the Year. Also receiving recognition was Larry Simmon, of Webco Inc., for outstanding chapter/society publicity during the past year.|ret||ret||tab|
