Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce ambassadors will be on hand for the May 7 groundbreaking ceremony for Arvest Bank's 4140 S. Fremont Ave. branch.

The 8,000-square-foot branch on approximately six acres would replace Arvest's East Bradford Parkway location, which has been leased since 2007 and was the first Springfield-area branch for Arkansas-based Arvest, said Michael Gandy, marketing officer for Arvest in Springfield.

Arvest has selected Springfield-based Morelock-Ross Builders Inc. as general contractor for the branch, with Rogers-Ark.-based Hight-Jackson Associates PA serving as architect and engineering work being performed by Fort Smith, Ark.-based HSA Engineering Consulting Services Inc.

Gandy said the branch is being built to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design-Silver standards and would incorporate similar design elements to those used at Arvest's National Avenue and Chestnut Expressway Branch, such as permeable concrete and dual-flushing toilets.

The 11 associates at the Bradford Parkway branch, including Branch Manager Mindy Bransfield, would move to the Fremont Avenue location when it is expected to be completed in December, Gandy said.

Arvest recently opened its fourth Springfield branch at 3184 E. Sunshine St., which was the eighth in the region. In addition to the East Bradford Parkway location, Arvest also operates another branch on West Republic Road, two in Branson, one in Nixa and one in Hollister.

Arvest Bank operates more than 230 branches in Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Kansas.[[In-content Ad]]
