Arvest Bank in Springfield announced its second executive-level promotion in as many weeks.
Shane Cowger, Arvest's sales manager in the market, has been elevated to executive vice president and loan manager, according to a news release.
The role previously was held by Jason England, who last week was named president and CEO of Arvest Springfield.
“Shane’s done an excellent job of leading our retail team as well as our mortgage and consumer lending teams in Springfield,” England said in the release. “His leadership, not only within Arvest, but the Springfield community, has been instrumental in driving the growth we’ve experienced over the last 11 years."
England and Cowger briefly split the market president's duties after the exit in April of two-year leader Kyle Hubbard, according to past reporting.
Cowger has worked at Arvest Bank for 23 years, with past managerial experience in the Miami, Oklahoma, Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and Joplin markets, according to the release.
“I feel privileged to have the opportunity to serve as loan manager and to work with our team of commercial bankers,” Cowger said in the release.
The Republic School District is on track to open its Intermediate School for fifth- and sixth-grade students for the 2025-26 academic year.
