Customers who subscribe to AT&T or Verizon wireless services can now download the mobile banking application for 24-hour access to their Arvest account information, according to an Arvest news release.
For privacy and security, Arvest’s mobile application has a secure personal identification number login, and all information operates as 128-bit encrypted data on the mobile service carrier network. The application is provided by Firethorn Holdings, a mobile banking and payments provider, and CheckFree Corp., a provider of financial e-commerce services.
“Mobile phone usage has grown almost 60 percent over the past six years and the use of online banking is at an all-time high, so it is natural for Arvest to offer mobile banking,” said Jason Kincy, Arvest marketing manager, in the release. “It is very important for us to offer it in a way that not only gives our customers enhanced security, but also provides an easy-to-use interface.”
Through the mobile service, the bank’s customers can view and pay bills, check balances, transfer funds between accounts and review account history.
Available at www.arvestmobile.com, the mobile banking service is free to Arvest account holders, and additional carriers beyond AT&T or Verizon are expected to be added in the future, the release said.
