The bank will lease space and open in the next 30 to 60 days, said Regional Manager Scott Grigsby on Tuesday. Grigsby will serve as Springfield’s interim market president.
Grigsby would not disclose the bank’s planned location; however, a Springfield building permit filed by Arvest in April calls for a $190,000 title infill at 1435 E. Bradford Parkway, Ste. 100.
The full-service bank will hire about eight employees in the next six months, Grigsby said.
After opening its first two Branson branches in the last year, Grigsby said Springfield was the natural next step.
“We have a lot of customers in and around the Springfield area, and a lot of customers that live someplace else and have some businesses up there,” he said, adding that several other local branches could be added in the next few years. “We’ll make Springfield a hub of our operation, hopefully.”
