Today is the first day of business for Arvest Bank's new West Republic Road location, the bank's first permanent Springfield branch.
Arvest first opened in Springfield in 2007 at leased space on East Bradford Parkway, and the bank began construction on its first brick-and-mortar branch in March. The approximately 6,000-square-foot facility at 2403 W. Republic Road features a lobby, four drive-through lanes and an ATM.
Hours of operation are 8 a.m.-6 p.m. for the lobby and 7 a.m.-7 p.m. for the drive-through Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m.-1 p.m. for the lobby and drive-through Saturday. The branch is full-service, with checking accounts, certificates of deposit, consumer and mortgage loans, and safe deposit boxes, according to Assistant Vice President Michal Moss Early. It also has representatives from Arvest's mortgage and asset management divisions.
Shaun Kellar is branch manager, and 14 employees are on board so far. Another two to eight positions will be filled, Early said.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening celebration, open to the public, is scheduled for 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 21.
Meanwhile, Arvest plans to open a branch at 139 Gage Drive in Hollister on Nov. 24, with a grand opening celebration 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Dec. 4. Officials also are finalizing a site plan for another Springfield location at the corner of Chestnut Expressway and National Avenue; construction there is slated to start in early 2009, Early said.[[In-content Ad]]
