Arvest Bank opens in Nixa Wednesday

Posted online
Arvest Bank will open its first Nixa branch Wednesday inside the Walmart supercenter.

Grand-opening festivities will begin at 11:30 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and light refreshments. Arvest representatives also will make a donation on behalf of the Walton Family Foundation to Care to Learn-Nixa, a program that provides funds for health, hunger and hygiene needs at local schools.

Also this week, the bank is offering a drawing to win a Nintendo Wii.

The full-service branch, 1102 N. Massey Blvd., is Arvest's first in-store location in the area and will offer personal, business and investment services. The Nixa Walmart previously housed a Guaranty Bank branch.

Arvest is not affiliated with Wal-Mart Stores Inc. but Jim Walton, the youngest son of Wal-Mart founder Sam Walton, is the Arkansas-based bank's CEO and board chairman.

In Springfield, Arvest will break ground July 15 on a new branch at Chestnut Expressway and National Avenue.[[In-content Ad]]
