Arvest Bank last week held a soft opening for its fourth Springfield branch at 3184 E. Sunshine St. A grand opening scheduled for April 20 will include a Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The roughly $1.2 million, 4,000-square-foot full-service bank was built to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design standards by Morelock-Ross Builders Inc. Rogers, Ark.-based Hight-Jackson Associates PA served as architect, while engineering work was completed by Morrison-Shipley Engineers Inc. (Fort Smith, Ark.), civil; Hight-Jackson Associates, structural; HSA Engineering Consulting Services Inc. (Fort Smith, Ark.), mechanical, electrical and plumbing, according to
Springfield Business Journal archives.
Arvest hired Karen Kroutil as branch manager, a position she's been training toward since joining the bank about a year ago. Kroutil, who had worked as a retail branch manager for Commerce Bank for 15 years before moving to Arvest, leads a team of eight employees, said Michael Gandy, marketing officer for Arvest in Springfield.
The branch represents the eighth in the region for Arvest, which has a branch built to LEED-Gold certification at the intersection of Chestnut Expressway and National Avenue. Arvest also operates two other Springfield branches on East Bradford Parkway and West Republic Road, two in Branson, one in Nixa and one in Hollister.
Gandy said Arvest is accepting bids for a general contractor for a planned full-service branch on six acres of property it owns at the northeast corner of Fremont Avenue and Republic Road. The branch, which is expected to open early next year, would replace the East Bradford Parkway location, which is under lease, he said.
Arkansas-based Arvest Bank operates more than 230 branches in Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Kansas.[[In-content Ad]]
