Mike Daw was set to start March 1 in Springfield. He previously was Arvest market president in Mountain Home, Ark.
“Mike Daw’s experience, passion and dedication to community-based banking will be a wonderful fit for our aggressive expansion plans here in the coming years,” Arvest Regional President Scott Grigsby said in a news release.
Daw is a graduate of Northwood University and the Illinois Bankers Association Graduate Trust School. He has been with Arvest since 2003.
Arvest also announced Feb. 26 that its two Branson locations, which opened at Branson Landing in May 2006 and 5601 Gretna Road in January 2007, have become part of the Springfield market. Those locations previously were included in Arvest’s North Central Arkansas market.
Arvest’s first Springfield branch opened in June 2007 at 1435 E. Bradford Parkway. A second location is planned at 2403 W. Republic Road, and officials have said they are looking to build three to five more locations in the next three years. A groundbreaking for the Republic branch is set for March 11.
