The U.S. Army is conducting a security assessment of popular social media video app TikTok.
The investigation specifically will focus on the risks posed by military personnel using the app.
The probe comes after Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer called for a examination of TikTok over security concerns. TikTok is owned by Chinese tech firm ByteDance.
