Arkansas Supreme Court hears medical marijuana arguments

The Arkansas Supreme Court yesterday heard oral arguments in a case about the state's handling of its medical marijuana laws.

Naturalis Health owner Patrick Murphy filed suit when his company was not chosen as one of five to receive a licence to grow medical marijuana. He alleges conflicts of interest and scoring irregularities.

The state's attorneys argued the case should be dropped because Arkansas officials have sovereign immunity.
