Arkansas-based Denali Water Solutions agreed to pay a $610,000 fine as part of a settlement with the federal government, the Joplin Globe reports.
The settlement is related to alleged Clean Water Act violations in California and Arizona.
The company has been cited for overapplication of sludge on farm fields.
