Over 28 million travelers visited The Natural State, spending $7.2 billion in the fiscal year that ended June 30, according to a report released by the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism.
The number of tourists in the last fiscal year was 28.1 million, an increase of more than 8 percent from 25.9 million visitors in fiscal 2014.
State and local tax revenue also jumped to $512 million from $461 million, according to the report.
