Even a serious motorcycle wreck three weeks into construction didn’t slow progress on the Grahams’ $1.25 million project, which finished on time and on budget.
“That’s only because we had an extremely clear vision of where we wanted to go and what we wanted to do,” George Graham said. “Without the planning, it would’ve been a total nightmare.”
He said any small-business owner could learn from their situation: have a clear vision before talking to a contractor, spend time planning and use an experienced construction team.
The result for the Grahams was a successful move to 5,500 square feet at 3424 S. Culpepper Court from their 1,500-square-foot building at 1715 E. Cherokee, Ste. 104, which they occupied for 12 years.
