According to a Drury news release, the funds will be used to underwrite an $1,850 scholarship at each member school and awarded based on financial need.
“The Monsanto Fund’s gift to the Missouri Colleges Fund recognizes the importance of a quality college education in preparing people for success in life,” said Drury President John Sellars in the release. “This contribution recognizes the importance of education and the significant impact that an educated work force has on Missouri’s economy.”
The Missouri Colleges Fund was established in 1952 as a nonprofit corporation and the philanthropic arm of the Monsanto Corp.
