Universal Polymers Inc., a Springfield-based manufacturer of exterior insulation and finish systems, has announced the release of its new Monolith wall system for residential and light-commercial construction.
The system provides a low-cost stucco alternative for building exteriors when added impact resistance and ease of maintenance is desired, according to a release from Universal.
The Monolith system couples the Tplus Monolith finish system with the Unipan cement board, manufactured by Unifix of Canada.
The cement board uses virgin EPS beads mixed with cement to make a durable exterior wall. The board is flexible and can be bent around a six-inch radius without breaking, allowing maximum design flexibility in the field. The cement and EPS mixture can add to the insulation value of any building, the company stated.
The new product is available through Universal Polymers Inc. distributors and dealers.
