Construction lots in Myers Park are on the market. The Carthage City Council recently authorized Max McKnight, the city's economic development director, to accept and negotiate offers on the park property.
The sale of lots in what is envisioned as a retail center has been delayed for about two years while a plan was written and revised by the Myers Park Development Committee.
Lots on the southwest and northeast corners, the lot between TapJac and Wal-Mart stores, or the entire southwest quarter will be the first property sold.
