Allen Casey, principal of The Casey Associates, is architect and Mike Kleffner is project manager for The Casey Development Co.'s renovations to the Holland Building at 205 Park Central East. Kenmar Construction is general contractor for the 38,900-square-foot project, which will cost an estimated $1.8 million and is scheduled for completion in February. The building, which was constructed in 1914, houses Class A office space, Riad a Greek restaurant, a private dining and conference room and available space for a shop, a piano bar or a basement pub. The building has a concrete structural system and marble walls and tile floors in all of the public corridors, the main entry and in the rest rooms. The exterior faade has distinctive terra cotta ornamentation and verde marble. The restored lobby has a decorative ornamental plaster ceiling. Renovations include the installation of a sprinkler system, refinishing of all the wood windows, upgrading the elevators and installation of a new central air conditioning system. Restoration of the corridors has returned them to their original 1914 design. High-speed Internet is available to tenants, with fiber-optic cable serving all floors. A new alleyway entry will provide access to the nearby parking lots.
