Jack Ball and Associates is architect for this historic renovation into first-floor office and second-floor loft space for Bruce Galloway, attorney at law, at 107 Second St. in Ozark. HBH Engineers is engineer and Elite Construction is general contractor for the 3,600-square-foot project, which has an estimated construction cost of $110,000. The project is scheduled for completion in June. The historic renovation on the Ozark square is part of an overall rejuvenation of the turn-of-the-century site. Katherine Dowdy of Heritage Research Company in Ozark provided information necessary for restoration of original historical qualities.|ret||ret||tab|

Several previous renovations left the building with a metal siding faade, run-down vinyl awnings and a mixed aluminum/wood storefront. After removing the metal siding and replacing the upper-story windows and first-floor storefront, the building better resembled its classic historic look. The interior demolition and restoration resulted in a clean palette of brick, plaster and tin ceilings. The first floor will house the Law Office of Bruce Galloway LLC. There will be three enclosed offices, a conference room and necessary support staff spaces. A mostly glass conference room will divide the front office space in half. A lowered drywall ceiling conceals mechanical equipment over the corridor and allows the conference room and offices to be open to the historic tin ceilings above. Recent newlyweds Bruce and Melissa Galloway will live upstairs in a 1,800-square-foot loft with two bedrooms, two living spaces, two bathrooms and a central kitchen. |ret||ret||tab|
