Fred Mathews of Mathews & Associates Inc., in association with Dan Meckes and Jay Rakers of Illinois-based Crawford, Murphy & Tilly Inc., are the engineers for a new roadway on West Chestnut Expressway at Interstate 44 for the city of Springfield and the Missouri Department of Transportation. The project, Route 266 and Airport Boulevard, is the access roadway for the Midfield Terminal at the Springfield-Branson National Airport. APAC-Missouri is the general contractor for the $11.9 million project, which features a four-lane divided segment on Route 266, modifications to the I-44/Chestnut interchange, a new bridge over the railroad, signalized intersections and a roundabout at Route EE (Division Street). Completion is slated for December.
