Jack Ball and Associates is the architect and the interior designer for the Republic R-III School District’s 268,000-square-foot high school. HBH Engineers LLC is the engineer for the approximately $31 million project. Branco Enterprises Inc. is the general contractor for the school, which will have a three-story curving façade. Administrative offices will be on the first floor, and classrooms will be on the second and third floors. The façade features modern adaptations of historic elements, including colonnades and cornice. Shared core spaces are aligned along the back of the building, with spoke-like axial hallways leading students throughout the facility. Also included in the project are new athletic facilities for softball, baseball and track, with provisionary facilities for football and soccer. Completion is scheduled for 2010. [[In-content Ad]]
