Description: Warren & Goodin is engineer and architect for this project, which entails HVAC improvements to three properties for the Housing Authority of Springfield. The project, funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, replaces original boilers, pumps and piping with modulating condensing boilers and related equipment with the goal of reducing energy consumption and lowering utility costs. Work, which wrapped up in late fall, will provide energy savings of 35 percent with an anticipated cost payback for the upgrade within three years.
