Architects & Engineers 2009 Winter Project Report: Sapp Design Associates Architects PC

Description: Sapp Design Associates is the architect for this project, which will convert a 63,000-square-foot former lumber yard facility into a 126,000-square-foot career center for the Waynesville R-VI School District. Malone Finkle Eckhardt & Collins Inc. is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer, and Meridian Structural Works Inc. is the structural engineer, with interior design by Tami McCune. The showroom was converted into an administration area that will include a commons area, entrance, administrative offices, culinary arts program, café, library and meeting rooms. The warehouse was converted into the industrial arts shop wing. A two-story, 36,000-square-foot addition on the front of the existing structure will house programs such as marketing, health sciences, cosmetology and fine arts. Completion is slated for March.
