Architects & Engineers 2009 Winter Project Report: Hood-Rich Inc.

Description: Hood-Rich Inc. was chosen by the Springfield-Greene County Park Board to design the master plan and infrastructure for the 20-acre Dan Kinney Park. The park will incorporate low-impact storm-water principles and energy-efficient buildings. Phase I will include a divided driveway entrance from Blackman Road, a monument sign and flagpole, internal driveways, a parking area that will accommodate 39 cars, walking trails, children's playground, perimeter fencing and landscaping. Phase II will include a pavilion, a practice soccer field, bleachers and a ballfield designed to Miracle League Association guidelines so that it is accessible to all players, even if they have disabilities. The final phase includes a family center and additional parking. The timeline for the park's completion has not yet been determined.
