Butler, Rosenbury & Partners Inc. is involved with the design for both the car park and retail development components of College Station, a $20 million public/private development in downtown Springfield. The city of Springfield is developer of College Station Car Park. Desman Associates is the architect of record and the structural engineer for the car park, while BRP is the façade architect. Malone, Finkle, Eckhard & Collins is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer for the car park, and DeWitt & Associates Inc. is the general contractor for the approximately $8.6 million project slated for completion in January. There will be retail space on the first floor and customer parking on the upper two levels. Scott Tillman of Tillman Redevelopment is the developer for the retail component of College Station, and BRP is the architect, structural engineer and interior designer. MFEC is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer for the retail side of College Station, which has an estimated cost of $12 million. Included in the retail side are a 14-screen first-run movie theater and retail/office space. Retail construction is slated to begin this summer.
