Architect: Slone Architects Inc.

Slone Architects is the architect for residential condominiums at The Welk Resort in Branson for San Marcos, Calif.-based Welk Resort Group. The engineers are Wells & Scaletty LLC, structural; Crocker Consulting Engineers Inc., mechanical and electrical; and Mesa Engineering, civil. Chicago-based Studio PK Interiors is the interior designer for the project, which comprises roughly 370 living units on 40 acres adjacent to the existing Welk Resort theater and hotel. Phase I, with 56 one- and two-bedroom units, is now under construction, with completion slated for December. The architecture is a two-story Adirondack style, blending fieldstone columns with rough-sawn cedar siding and trim. Phase II, which is in the design stage, will add a guest clubhouse, a natatorium/water park and a water mill in the lily pond.
