Marshall-Waters-Woody designed a 263,400-square-foot post exchange for the Army and Air Force Exchange Service at Ft. Belvoir, near Washington, D.C. Project engineers are J.S. Smith (Joplin), structural; Calibre Engineering Inc. (Littleton, Colo.), civil; and McCoy & Howard (Mount Vernon, Ill.), mechanical, electrical and plumbing. Lovett Consultants, of Mint Hill, N.C., designed fire protection, and general contractor is Detroit-based Walbridge. The $35 million structure is designed for Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design-Silver certification, with completion slated in March 2012.
