Architect: Insight Design Architects LLC

Insight Design Architects LLC is the architect for the Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World  completed in late 2011 in Harlingen, Texas. Bass Pro Shops designers Tom Jowett and Bill Baunach provided design direction and facilitated coordination for the project, which was constructed by general contractor Gilbane Inc. (Providence, R.I.). Mettemeyer Engineering LLC is the structural engineer, and RB Lewis Ltd. (Richmond, Va.) is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer. Landscaping is by RAA Design (Atlanta). The store’s design highlights the south Texas heritage of sporting and conservation, with a clerestory diorama that includes buffalo, bear, geese, ducks and deer.
