Butler, Rosenbury & Partners Inc. is the architect for Hope Place, a roughly $9 million project comprising three buildings on the west end of Salvation Army’s campus at Chestnut and Kansas expressways. The general contractor is Paric (O’Fallon); engineers, interior designer and lender are to be determined. A community development campaign is in the early stages for one building to house an emergency shelter, as well as the relocation of front-line services and a daily lunch program from the Boonville Avenue site, and administrative offices for the Ozarks Area Coordination Unit. Another building would hold 40 apartments for single adults and support services for homeless adults, veterans and low-income individuals. The third building would have seven family units. Completion is slated for mid-2013.
