Architect: Bates & Associates Architects

Posted online
Bates & Associates Architects is the architect for a multiphased mixed-use development for owner/developer Bryan Magers. Engineers, a general contractor and the lender have not yet been determined for the project, which will have retail on the first floor and housing on the second and third floors to cater to the Missouri State University student population. The project is part of a $22 million redevelopment plan by Magers that has been approved by Springfield City Council. Each retail space will have outdoor seating and a large sidewalk to encourage pedestrian traffic. The project, which will have about 57 housing units and 37,000 square feet of retail space, is scheduled for completion in spring 2012.
