Architect: Baron Design & Associates LLC

Baron Design & Associates LLC is the architect and interior designer for a five-story extended-stay hotel for owner/developer RTT Development LLC. Lee Engineering is the civil engineer; other engineers have not yet been selected. With 108 units, the hotel will be located across from Mercy Hospital Springfield and will offer a dining facility, a 1,200-square-foot conference/meeting room, an indoor pool and an exercise area. The façade will have ground-face concrete masonry units and aluminum-and-glass curtain walls. The hotel is designed for energy efficiency, and the developers will pursue Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification. A general contractor has not yet been chosen for the project, which is slated for completion in late 2013.
