Inspire Brands, the owner of Arby's and Buffalo Wild Wings, announced plans to purchase drive-in chain Sonic.
The deal, valued at $2.3 billion, includes debt, Inspire Brands announced.
Sonic's stock rose by more than 18 percent on the news to an all-time high of $44.87 per share.
