Applebee's has filed suit against a franchisee that recently closed eight Kansas City-area restaurants.
The suit alleges franchise company Apple Central KC LLC closed the stores without required approval under its franchise agreement.
Applebee's is seeking $8 million in federal court from Apple Central KC, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last month.
