Applebee's moving HQ to Calif. from KC

Applebee's International Inc.'s headquarters will move from Kansas City to parent company DineEquity Inc.'s corporate home in Glendale, Calif., according to the Los Angeles Business Journal.

Of the roughly 220 employed at the Kansas City headquarters, 80 to 90 would stay put, while 10 to 20 percent of the remaining employees would be offered the chance to relocate to Glendale.

Applebee's President Steven Layt rejected the offer, opting to resign.
